About this Cold Lake casino guide

Who writes the guide

The guide is written and signed by its editorial desk, the North Shore desk. There is no named author. The site is independent. It is not a casino and not Casino Dene's website. It takes no bets and has no accounts.

Casinos never pay the site. Neither do AGLC (Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis), the Alberta iGaming Corporation, Play Alberta or any help service, and links to them are never paid. The guide gives no ratings, scores, stars or reviews.

How facts are checked

Facts on this site were checked in October 2026. The sources were Casino Dene's own pages, Hotel Dene's website, AGLC and OpenStreetMap, which supplied the map points. Sometimes the casino's pages give different figures. The site then says only what holds for all of them.

The opening hour is one example. Casino Dene is open every day from 11 am at the latest, so the guide writes "by 11 am". Whether the doors open earlier is not confirmed, and 780-594-7900 is the number to call. Holiday hours are not published, so a holiday visit should be checked with the casino or on casinodene.com first.

Distances are straight lines between two map points: the casino's point and each town's centre point. They are not driving distances.

How the site is paid for

The site earns a commission from paid links. They appear on the home page alone, each marked Ad. There are three: one in the menu, one in a block below the first screen and one near the end of the page. All three lead to the same online casino partner, and that partner can change.

Behind the links is a private online casino, picked by the site's link partner. It is not Play Alberta and is not run by AGLC or the Alberta iGaming Corporation. It has no connection with Casino Dene or Cold Lake First Nations. The site does not say it is registered in Alberta. Any online operator can be checked in the Alberta iGaming Corporation's directory at abigaming.ca.

About the pictures

The woman in the site's pictures is a drawn character, made for this site with an image model. She is not a real person. She is not casino staff and not the author, and she is never shown playing. The other pictures are generated scenes too. No casino logos or signs appear in any of them.

What the site does not collect

The site sets no cookies. It has no forms, no accounts and no email address, and it loads nothing from other websites.

Its calculators run inside the browser and send nothing anywhere. The evening budget calculator, for example, uses only what the reader types: an amount and a number of hours. The theme choice lasts until the tab is closed.
